When do i get to do what i want?

You ‘have to’ do this, you ‘have to’ do that. Don’t you hate hearing that? Serious! Like there is nothing on your list of things to do that day that you want to do. Doesn’t it rip that you ‘have to’ do all these other things and never anything for yourself?

You’re not human if that doesn’t happen. My days start out like that sometimes. What I have learned to do is not fight that feeling. Those are not the kind of days you want to repeat themselves. I don’t know for sure but I think it starts a cycle of depression and I certainly don’t want to go down that road anytime soon.

Don’t give any energy to those miserable ‘have to’ feelings. Get out of the house and find something that you ‘want to’ do. The other list can wait you need to take a ‘You’ day!To help you create the drive to do the things you need to do you need have a little ‘you’ time.

Here’s a list that might help you live your life to the fullest everyday.

1. Laugh Out Loud! Laughter is some of the best medicine. If you’re feeling bad by just laughing a little bit you will feel a world of difference. Even I have felt miserable sometimes. Then someone even sometimes a stranger made me laugh. Have you ever laughed when something wasn’t funny? It releases so much you have to feel better. It didn’t take long to realize that laughing was the cure to those miserable feelings.

2. Not sure about your direction – How do you feel? Stop and think about it. Don’t do something until you know and feel it is the right thing to do. It’s Ok. Its about you. Decisions are important and your feeling good about them is also important. Is it stressful to go one direction but not the other? We’ve been given a great system for knowing what is right and wrong for us. It’s our feelings and emotions. Checking how you feel is a natural thing to do. Knowing how you feel is the first and most important step. Then decide based on how you feel. Your the one that matters. If you spend the time to ensure you’re going in a direction you want you’ll end up enjoying the journey so much more.

3. Get to know yourself. Go within. Find out who you are. Even when you’re alone make it quiet time. Having a relationship takes time. Even having a relationship with yourself takes time and effort. Some people meditate. Excercise and walking in nature are great activities. Find something you enjoy that you can do by yourself. Its who you are that you’re sharing so get to know the person you’re showing to other people.

4. It’s about spending time with the ones you love. It should go without saying but so many people give up time with the people they love in pursuit of things outside of themselves. Promotion and a raise? You’ll never get to re-live your kids childhood. They just want your time. They’ll do without a new car if they can see you at their basketball games! They can do without more furniture or a bigger house if you’re there for their dance recitals. When your time is done will you regret not buying a bigger house or not being at your childs first win?

Success is a state of mind. Success is not having the most when you die. I know Success is wanting what’s in front of you.

It’s up to you to live the best life. When you are who you choose to be you live life fully expressed. Your ‘have to’s turn into your want to’s. It’s a great life!

Get Back to Basics

You need to hear some things about online marketing and internet home businesses! There are only a few reasons that i can think of for someone to start their own online venture. While I was reviewing Daegan Smith’s Maximum-Leverage Program I thought about the reasons.

The first reason is that you are sick of your boss. When they were picking bosses they picked yours from the bottom of the pile. You don’t want to have any boss. You think that there has to be a better way.

The second reason is you believe that you will have much more time to yourself and that your time would be your own to budget if you were working your own venture online. It would certainly be better than it is right now because you wouldn’t have to drive in to your office everyday.

The third reason i can think of is the MONEY!

What reasons could be better than those? We’re all here making a living online because of those reasons. Some of us are “un-employable”. Which means we’re usually smarter than any boss we’ve had and we usually let them know it. You’ve never thought that? I have been in that position.

You need to know this if you’re going to get into internet marketing:

1. If it were easy everyone would do it! There is definately work involved in putting yourself out there and marketing products and/or information on the internet. You better like to learn because you need to learn a lot.

2. Success doesn’t show up overnight! The results you achieve if consistent will determine your success (whatever success means to you). Let me say it another way for emphasis – consistent action will create consistent results. So Action = Results.

If you think you just need to put up a webpage with some stuff on it to sell and put some ads up somewhere and expect a big bucket of cash will flow your way you are very wrong.

3. Its all about time! The process is gradual. Consistency is the key!

People in the internet marketing game have made fortunes overnight? Yes.

Did they make them because they just came to the internet the week before? No.

They built those businesses slowly over time and those fortunes were created when they were well known and generating consistant profits in their business they were then able to turn either new products and offerings into huge fortunes by being the right person with the right product and having an audience of thousands or tens of thousands to sell to.

4. The internet is NOT fair. I’m just telling you so you’ll know!

How is it fair that only a select few can be on the front page of google? It’s not fair that people who started before you have loads of traffic and you have none. Its not fair!

You need to not let it bother you. Figure out what they know so you can be the one that is getting more than your fair share.

5. If you think what worked yesterday will work tomorrow – think again! Learn to live with it. Get used to learning new stuff all the time or get out now. The internet is dynamic and the search engines change how they do things all the time. Always be ready to try new things and ideas and keep well informed about trends in the market place.

List Building 101

What if i told you that a lot of people and companies are really ramping up their internet presence. For a multiple of reasons people have been behind in implementing technology for online marketing. We know that you need to be able to use every strategy there is to get ahead of your competitor. Keep ahead of them.

While I was doing a Daegan Smith Review I found that One of the best strategies to use to distribute your promotional material is the use of an “Opt-in” list. The Opt-in list is a list of names and emails of people that have said they want to receive your emails.. When you see a place on a website where they ask for your name and email and offer to give you something for free in return for you to enter your email address and/or name. Opt-in. Giving your information on a website for something free.

If you can get people to put their name on your list there just isn’t a better way to keep in touch with them. Sending them advertising material and offers of your service is easy. Having an Opt-in list is the best way to ensure the people who want to see material from you get it. It is also just as easy for them to Opt-out as it was for them to Opt-in.

Your challenge if you choose to accept it is to keep people on your list by sending them relevant information.

What you can do to maintain the list:

1) Interesting or interested? Just don’t be boring – The first reason people Opt-out of a list is that they don’t see the information as something they would be interested in or the information is boring. You need to keep people’s interest so make sure you’re not boring. People hate to be bored. Don’t keep sending them the same offer over and over again. That is the ulitmate in boring. You need to keep things fresh. The more updates and information you provide the more people you’ll attract. Going Viral is not a disease. It’s when people share emails and if you have good emails people on your list will share the information and so on and so on…

2) People what to know whats in it for them – Benefits – The first reason they opted into your list was that they saw something that was a benefit to them. Always consider if the information or offer you’re sending is a benefit to the list. If they don’t see a benefit to being on the list the will get off the list. That is not what you’re looking for. If you’re not consistent you will lose as well. Your emails need to be consistent so people know what to expect. If you are consistent in providing good value they will continue to be on your list and most importantly they will buy from you when an offer that you present is of special interest to them.

3. You need to be the source of information – The more you know and share the larger and longer your list gets.. Keep up to date with relevant facts in your industry. Become the goto guy or gal.

4. Its all about Creativity and Information. The goal is to keep people on your list. Sometimes its the little things that make a big difference. Give that little bit extra and watch the magic. They can’t resist a little surprise.

So shake it up a bit out there and keep those people on your list.

Daegan Smith Review

I’m going to review a guy called Daegan Smith. He’s the architect of the Maximum-Leverage system and he calls himself the “King of never calling a single lead“. He even has a cartoon of himself with a big crown on his head.

Daegan is a very straight forward guy. He really likes to say it like it is or how he sees it. One of the things that i liked about his training was that he not only told us what to do but he shows you how to do it and he shows you how it worked for him.

He quite often opens up his adwords account and shows you what he’s working on. He also opens up his commission accounts and shows you how he’s making money from those ads.

Daegan goes through his program in a very logical step by step way. He teaches a theory that you need to master or start to profit from and once you’re getting the results you’re looking for you then put it into a system to work on auto-pilot and then move on to starting a new campaign or strategy. Turn that into a profitable venture – automate etc…

It really is good advice to take something that works and automate it once it’s profitable and start a new strategy. If you are all over the place it seems that you can get nothing finished. What we want as Network or Internet Marketers is profit.

Daegan teaches a lot of different strategies in his programs from free traffic strategies to Pay-Per-Click and CPA (Cost-Per-Action) and banner advertising. He’s done it all and he knows the ins and outs of all those different strategies.

One of the better areas is relationship building online. Daegan Smith is a master of building relationships through Email, Video and Audio programs.

He just moved from his home in Washington DC to the one of the Islands of Hawaii. The life you can lead with Internet Marketing is unlimited. Daegan is a prime example of that.

Daegan Smith is the Real Deal. A guy who says it like it is and who proves it day in and day out in auto-pilot mode and while he’s sleeping. He’s making money online. You’d do great emulating a guy like that.
